Johnston says the funds to experiment with new ideas just don‘t exist and so her staff has become "very astute" at identifying markets and maximizing their Johnston has seen her share of corporate mortality in the last several years, particularly in the marketing and promotion field. Of the 20 agericies that existed in the Toronto area during the industry‘s midâ€"Eighties heyday, only four are still around. Oakvilleâ€"based Adcom is one of the survivors. "It hasn‘t been good times for the agency side," said Johnston.
