Parkinsons in Motion is a sixâ€" week program of activity and eduâ€" cation for Parkinson‘s patients. Classes are twice a week, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 1:30 to 3 p.m.. "Most people with Parkinsons are reasonably mobile, but must keep busy in order to stay limber," said Mary McCarter, founder of the local Parkinson Foundation. The foundation was able to make the program available because of a successful Monster Bingo fundraisâ€" er night held last year. This is the fourth time the program has taken place since last May. "It‘s very successful. The patients have a good time and get to meet some new friends," said McCarter. Patients can also bring a family member or friend to the classes with them.
