Sam Gitterman of Ottawa was named the recipient of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation‘s (CMHC) Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Housing Industry, and inducted into the Canadian Home Builders‘ Association (CHBA) Hall of Fame at the CHBA conâ€" ference in Toronto. Sam Gitterman wins CMHC Award Belle Gitterman accepted the award for her husband, from Dave Worthy, p; liamentary secretary to the minist responsible for CMHC, Elmer MacKay The CMHC award is presented annuâ€" ally to an individual whose accomplishâ€" ments are regarded as having made an outstanding contribution to Canada‘s housing industry. This year‘s winner and Hall of Fame inductee has been honored ave Worthy, parâ€" â€" primarily for his contribution at the foreâ€" to the minister â€" front of housing design and technology. During his announcement of this presented annuâ€" â€" year‘s winner, CMHC president, Eugene 10se accomplishâ€" _ Flichel noted, "He was at the forefront of having made an _ housing technology for several decades on to Canada‘s and embodies the partnership between ear‘s winner and _ CMHC and CHBA. It is appropriate that ias been honored â€" he be honored for his achievements on the historical occasion of CHBA‘s 50th anniversary. â€" Before working for CMHC and CHBA, Gitterman began his career as a private practice architect.
