Johnson exhibition "H20 ... Endangered," a special exhibition by Eleanor Johnson, opens March 11 at McLarenâ€"Barnes Gallery. By painting this series of waterâ€" colors depicting the beauty of water, the artist hopes to heighten the awareness regarding this crucial element of our environment and to encourage people to think about the importance of it in their lives. Johnson, who lives in Waterdown, is partial to flowers as subject matter as well as vignettes of cottages, farms and villages. She is also known for a series of larger works depicting Canadian quilts. McLarenâ€"Barnes is located at 133 Reynolds St. Hours are Tuesday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. 1415 Trafalgar Rd.
