Although the woman initially complained to police, was cooperative and provided a statement, Detective Constable Garry Hickey said Thursday it's now questionable whether she will indeed provide key testi- mony at the trial. In June 1992, Tekic, was arrested and charged with several prostitu- tion-related offences in connection to the operation of an escort service. He was also charged with theft, possession of a stolen credit card and pos- session of stolen property. The charges were laid after Metro officers executed a search warrant at a storage locker in Oakville where stolen property was recovered. The investigation was launched by Toronto police based on a woman's complaint which followed a month's stay at a downtown Toronto hotel, said Hickey. Tekic was granted conditional bail after his arrest. One of the condi- tions being that he wasn't to have any business with any escort service. Tekic had been involved involved in a Mississauga-based escort ser- vice, All Class Escort Service, which had been advertised in the Yellow Pages as well as the Now magazine over the past year. Tekic was arrested again March 5th. and held in police custody for fail- ing to comply with bail conditions. Tekic faces charges of attempting to obstruct justice, exercising control and living on the avails of prostitution.
