After acquiring some local sewers who quilted and stitched, and having a suc- cessful show of her designs in New York in 1972, Bardon's business was off to a solid start. Today there are nine stores across Canada, three in Ontario, and she also sells wholesale throughout the country. She employs 70 full-time people, including the sewers, at her Mahone Bay headquarters.
