NEW IN TOWN?E High monthly payments tend to take the enjoyment out of owning a new car. But, Royal Buy-Beck‘s low payment option is designed to make it easier for you. With Royal Buy-Back, monthly payments are up to 20% lower; guaranteed, depending on the Royal Buy-Back term chosen, than with regular financing. . You see, the Royal Buy-Back option recognizes that your car will have a residual value 3, 4 or f years down the road. We'll certify that value and offset it against principal repayment. So, by reducing the amount of your new car loan to be repaid over the buy-back term, we reduce your monthly payments. Clare Rodgers, 26, of Oakville and Todd Wirtz, 32, of Mississauga (the boat owner) were taken to Oakville hospital and kept overnight for neck and back injuries. Halton police say the pair were pleasure boating, travelling about 80 mph when their boat hit another vessel's wake, split in two and sank. The pair were in the water about 10 minutes before res- cued. The boat's owner is expected to salvage his vessel which rests in 37 to 50 ft. of water. (Photos By Barrie Erskine) June 24th open house to detail routes for crossing Bronte Creek A special open house will be held Thursday seeking public input relating to the Burloak Secondary Plan. - The event - which will deal primarily with the proposed construction of two east-west arteries over Bronte Creek - will be held at the west campus of St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School, 2405-A Rebecca St. A -. The open house will start at 7 p.m. with an opportunity for the public to examine plans of the proposed routes, following by a question and answer period from 8 to 9 pm. In January 1989 the steering committee and a number of consultants - under the direction of McCormick Rankin - were hired. Since then the Burloak Plan has undergone a steady metamorphosis. due in part to several public hearings. Of particular concern was the pair of proposed bridges designed to span the 12 Mile Creek and the impact of increased traffic between the QEW and Lakeshore Road. The Burloak Plan, which does not state in which order the bridges will be built, "anticipates" that the southerly span would be first. (This would accom- modate all the residential traffic and most of the industrial traffic.) According to McCormick Rankin, the southerly crossing could join Rebecca Street on either side of the creek, Rebecca to Speers' Road or Rebecca to Riggs Road. The proposed northerly crossings are Fairview Street to Speers, Fairview to Wyecroft Road and Fairview to the North Service Road. In addition to the plan, Council also approved two amendments to the Official Plan which would permit predominantly residential lands south of Rebecca Street and primarily business park and industrial land north of the street. , ' ALL PASTA ENTREES $1.99 - includes salad °LASAGNA $2.99-and potatoes Call for Pizza Delivery : 842-FO0D (3663) OAKVILLE PLACE (IN THE FOOD COURT) On Friday June 25th and Saturday June 26th, come celebrate our reopening with a pizza and pasta extravaganza. 1)g tradtionai pizza aM pasta at ta . . prices. .
