Sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m., the culprits pried open a metal door to a restaurant hallway which led to the cash office, a laundry and a maintenance room. After failing to crash through the drywall into the cash office, the culâ€" prits then went into the maintenance room and went through the ceiling tiles to get into the cash office, said Halton Regional Police. Approximately $200 in cash, and a 28â€"inch Toshiba television were stolen. Total value of the goods was approximately $1,000, said police. A Landsdowne Drive man and his family didn‘t know it but as they slept Monday night, someone walked into their house and out again with $4,000 in cash, jewelry and credit cards. Halton Regional Police said the culprit pushed in a screen on an open kitchen window and crawled into the home.
