There are many ways in which you can contribute to the life of a senior whether you pro- vide friendship or other types of sup- port. If you are interested in helping seniors in the following positions, contact the agencies below or call the Oakville Volunteer Centre at 849- 8163. The Oakville Volunteer Centre is a program under the Halton Social Planning Council and is a United Way member agency. VON-Halton Seniors Day Program needs a volunteer to assist the co-ordinator and recreational ther- apist with daily activities for the memory impaired involving exercise, music and gardening. You must be at least 14 years of age, caring and reli- able. The program needs someone from Tuesday to Friday in the mom- ings and afternoons. If you are inter- ested, call Cathie Sacco at 847-9559.
