According to Richard Weima, president of the Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the agreement will allow members of the board to access information on properties listed for sale with the Metropolitan Hamilton Real Estate Board (MHREB) - even list properties on the MHREB Multiple Listing Service (MLS) - at modest cost. "As of Oct. lst, any member who so chooses can pay to tap into the supply of properties listed with the Hamilton board, and expand the range of properties they can show prospective purchasers," Weima says. "They will also be able to list properties on the Hamilton board's computer system, thus expanding each property's exposure to other salespeople and their clients. That's good news all round for members of the public." The MHREB is larger than the OMDREB, with 2,265 members and a 1993 cumulative dollar sales volume - as of the end of June - of approximately $600-million. A total of 16,500 properties were listed for sale on the MHREB MLS System during the first six months of 1993. The OMDREB. by comparison, has 562 members and, as of the end of June, a 1993 cumulative dollar sales volume of approximately $230-million. A total of 3,300 prop- erties were listed for sale on the OMDREB MLS System during the first six months of 1993. 4995 The move towards sharing, ties in with a " SHOES "" 3100 ga Cl iRcftiii"t' p,'.',', . rf.
