McLaren -Bames is located at 133 Reynolds St. Hebert works in oils in a represenâ€" tational style with vivid colors and as the title of the show implies, the exhibit will include paintings of the landscape of the north shore of the St. Lawrence as well as those from a trip to Baffin Island. In the past two years, Hebert has been exploring a more expressionistic style of painting and some of these works will also be available for viewing. This show, which runs until Nov. 20th, represents the gallery‘s first solo exhibit of Hebert‘s work. Along the North Shore of the St. Lawrence and Voyage en Terre de Baffin, an exhibition and sale of paintâ€" ings by Jean Louis Hebert, opens with a reception Sunday, Nov. 7th at McLaren Banes Gallery. The Pumpkin Patrol will be on the roads of Oakville and Burlington between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Halloween night. All volunteers have been briefed on how to handle any incidents that may occur and can immediately report any emergencies using their radios. Company vans will be clearly marked with the Cablenet logo, Pumpkin Patrol signs, and they will have their amber roof lights flashing and be travelling at a crawling pace. Cablenet employees generously donate their time to participate in this special project. Working in teams of two, they patrol area streets enhancing the efforts of police. Pumpkin Patrol hits the streets For the sixth consecutive year, Cablenet will operate its annual Pumpkin Patrol to ensure the safety of trickâ€"orâ€"treaters. Local artist Joseph Petriska, left, is the man behind this beautifully sculpted Iron Man of the Year Award, presented to BlueJays star Paul Molitor. Petriska also creates awards for outstanding athâ€" letes from the National Hockey League and the Canadian Soccer League, all presented to outâ€" standing athletes by the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Society of Canada. Previous winners of the above trophy were Dave Winfield and Joe Carter.
