CANADIAI\/ TIRE / M The Theatre Sheridan cast members of A Day In Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine are getting ready for opening night on Nov. lith. A Day In Hollywood is a parody of Hollywood and the movies of the 1930s, while A Night in the Ukraine is the Comedy the Marx Brothers didn‘t make, but could have. This is a ‘musical double feature,‘ like the old movie doubleheader â€"â€" there is no connection between the two acts, but together they are fascinatingly successful. Pictured here are (top, left to right) characters from A Day In Hollywood, Tamara Stokoe, Michael Moore and Maria Ferrari, and the Marx Brothers from A Night In The Ukraine â€" Harpo (Andrea Jackson), Groucho (Troy Brooks) and Chico (Christine Ford). The first production of the 1993â€"1994 Theatre Sheridan season runs until November 27 with 11 shows. Some residents were also angry at what they believed to be a lack of notification at an earlier meeting on June 24th. However, consulâ€" ~*"In terms of traffic flow, it will not in any way help ease the traffic at all. It just makes no sense to say that people coming across Lakeshore are going to want to make a left at Riggs Road and then go back to Bronte Road," he said.~ "I think they‘re trying to sneak it in through the back door," claimed Cam McDougall, prior to the meeting. McDougall handed a petition. with close to 400 names to the consultants opposing the buildâ€" ing of Riggs Road. Many in the crowd opposed to Riggs Road told consultants it made little sense to build a road no one will use. Both of these plans require either widening Bronte Road to four lanes or building a twoâ€"lane Rlcgs Road down to the Lakeshore in a residential area currently used as parkland. Consultants are currently lookâ€" ing at plans to build two bridges across the 12 Mile Creek. The northerly plans will link up Fairview Street in Burlington with Wyecroft Road in Oakville, while the more contentious southerly one will link up Rebecca near Burloak to Speers Road. That was the message delivered by more than 200 people crammed into a Bronte school gymnasium concerned about losing one of the few areas of parkland in the area.
