Regional CAO says time has come for big changes in municpal governments By BRAD REAUME Special to the Beaver t he difficulty of the budget proâ€" cess, especially in light of provincial social contract legisâ€" lation and a possible second tier of social contract cuts, has started the ball rolling on reâ€"organization and restrucâ€" turing all of Halton Region‘s operaâ€" tions. "It‘s time to take a quantum leap and make some very fundamental changes to this organization," said John Burke, regional chief administrative officer, at a budget review committee meeting Monday. "We can‘t just tweak the edges anymore." Burke outlined what he called a ""logical course of action" for the region to take. These innovative pieces have been donated to the auction by School of Crafts and Design faculty, staff and former students.
