With incidences of child abuse on the rise, and a windfall from the Ministry of Community of Social Services and the Kiwanis Club of Oakville in their pocket, the Council is offering the play, Touching, which they hope will find its way into all Halton schools. "We are looking for financial, community moral support.'parental support..." to get the play into the schools. said Rena Smith. Council chairperson. The play. written by Michael Adkins and presented by the Hamilton-based Toy Town Troopers. has been used by the Hamilton Wentworth Children's Aid Society, the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic Children's Aid Society and presented in schools of the Hamilton Board of Education.
