Homes â€" Wednesday, January 12, 1994 â€"H4 Ennisclare Interiors is for everyone ADVERTISING FEATURE BY Don Wall There is a tendency, upon entering the aweâ€"inspring Ennisclare Interiors showroom at 1075 North Service Road in Oakville, to be intimidated by the sheer wealth and beauty of the facility. Ennisclare is by far the largest furniture store in Oakville and many say it ranks among the best in Canada â€"â€" not only in terms of its size, but also for tie care taken in designing the floor plan and each room setting and for the quality of the furnishings sold as well. Certainly, Ennisclare is at the head of its class, but that doesn‘t mean there isn‘t something for everyone, points out store manager Cheri McKem. "We purchase good quality bu* we also purchase in a variety of price ranges,". McKem notes. "We doâ€"havesthe $700 and $800 sofas, and for that price you get good solid conâ€" struction and good quality. We focus on value for dolâ€" lar here aud we try to suit all budgets." The most spectacular furniture, though, is admittedâ€" ly at the higher end. Anyone who appreciates quality craftsmanship and superior materials will marvel at some of the office settings, with solid mahogany desks and leather chairs complemented by crystal vases or other unique accessories. Much of the credit for the splendid displays in the 25,000 square foot showroom goes to McKem. She knows every piece of furniture in the store, and spends long periods visiting the major manufacturers in search of the finest merchandise. "We look for timeless designs," McKem explained. "I choose the best quality. We want to stand behind what we sell and we want our customers to be happy in the long run." McKem understands that good furniture is often passed down from generation to generation. "Chances are today‘s dining room set will become tomorrow‘s heirloom," she explained. She and her staff of design consultants stress to customers that it is worth it in the short and long run to buy quality furniture the first time â€" and if a budget is limited, the Ennisclare staff will advise the customer to purchase one or two good items and save on something else that may be replaced anyâ€" way. "We remind them they‘re making an investment," Manager McKem coordinates the huge showroom. ‘says McKem. The Ennisclare staff takes pride in spending time consulting with each customer and determining how their needs can best be met. The showroom, with its 90 individual room settings, provides inspiration in the process. "We‘re about helping to make the proper deciâ€" sions," said McKem. And beyond the furniture on disâ€" play in the showroom, there are many thousands of samples of materials available for custom designs. It adds up to an infinite number of variations for the customer â€"â€" and listen to this. Ennisclare Interiors is planning to expand this June by adding another 10,000 square feet of floor space. That will make the third expansion for the store in the five years of its existence.
