Our theme this year is, "THANK YOU FOR YOUR GIFT OF TIME." Time is a precious commodity for all of us . There is always so much to be done and so little time to do it. I don‘t think there are many of us who don‘t say, at least We encourage our staff to listen to our patients‘ concems We ask our staff to discuss patient issues with their managers or directors. y We share these concems with the patient careâ€"team, which consists of a Physician, a Pharmacist, a Dietitian, a Physical Therapist, a Nurse, a Surgeon, etc.. The patient careâ€"team then meets to identify a remedy to address these concems. _ The team then informs the patient. We follow up to ensure the remedy has addressed the issue. O TE WEEK APR M 8 â€" 23, 1994 The dedicated volunteers of the Auxiliary provided more than 61,000 hours of service to Oakvilleâ€"Trafalgar Memorial Hospital this past year. That is the equivalent of 32 fullâ€"time staff. The organization is indeed busy as they continue to offer nearly 40 different services devoted to enhancing patient care and fundraising THANK Y for waiting" The seriousness of each person‘s condition is assessed by the Emergency Department‘s triage nurse. Patients are pnormzed based on this assessment. We care. We know that if you had a choice, you would rather not be in a hospital emergency waiting room. Nobody would. Please be assured that you are very important to us and that when it is your turn, we will give you our full attention. Hospital emergency departments are set up for the treatment of medical emergencies.
