West SUNDAY, AUGUST 14th OAKVILLE RESURRECTION CHURCH My friend, Joyce, has two daughâ€" ters in university, and she tells me that they think about careers quite differâ€" ently than we did when we were growing up. When we were young, a career was something you chose at an early age and stuck with for the rest of your life â€" ,perhaps, getting some proâ€" motions, but never really varying from the path you had started on. But Joyce‘s daughters expect to have three or four different careers during their lives, and they are quite comfortable with a more uncertain future. Colin Campbell‘s book warns us that we all need to prepare for a future of uncertainty and change. The rapid pace of technological and economic change has hit Canada hard; Campbell points out that despite the high unemâ€" ployment figures, there are 800,000 highâ€"paying jobs available in Canada "which cannot be filled for lack of Where the Jobs Are by Colin Campbell published by Macfarlane Walter and Ross 1994 | Upper Middle McCraney St W. 10:00 am Worship Celebration * Children‘s Church provided!
