Inspired by Travis‘ many musiâ€" cal talents including playing the electric and acoustic guitar, manâ€" dolin and fiddle, dad has learned the harmonica and Uncle Brian, the banjo. When brother Larry left, Good and his twin brother Bruce called upon Bruce‘s son Travis B. Good to join the group. For years friends referred to the band as The Goods so when Travis â€" a Good but not a brother â€" completâ€" ed the trio, it was a perfect time to change the name, said Good in a telephone interview _ from Saskatchewan. The Good Brothers, currently halfâ€"way through a tour of westâ€" ern Canada, have made some major changes along the way not the least of which was abbreviatâ€" ing their name. In addition to headlining numerous international musical events, they have shared the bill with such artists as Janis Joplin, The Band, The Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, Kenny Rogers and Roy Orbison among many others. To celebrate this milestone the band, which includes one of Oakville‘s newest residents, Brian Good, has recorded its 10th album, So Many Roads which includes the new song She Told Me So and old favorites reâ€" recorded on CD format including Alberta Bound. _ Winners of eight Juno Awards as Canadian Country Group of the Year, The Good Brothers have toured the world and performed for prime ministers as well as forâ€" mer U.S. President Ronald Reagan, but they are equally at home playing country fairs, theâ€" atres or appearing on TV.
