Chad Love netted the first hat trick of the season to pace a win over Dixie. Tommy Vidakovic added his first marker of the season to give the Comets a 4â€"0 win and Bryan Turner another shutout. Against Mississauga the Comets were in a close match with Oakville gaining a 2â€"1 win thanks to a penalty shot into the lower corner by Jeff Dortmans in the last seconds of the game. Tommy Vidakovic scored his second goal and the Comets dominated play in the second half. Saturday‘s league cup game was an outstanding team effort despite three strong players being absent. Chinguacousy scored early and the Comets had to rally to be ahead 3â€"2 â€" at the half. Both teams played well and Oakville thought a win was sewn up when Bryan Turner saved a penalty shot which would have tied the pressure and late in the contest, tie the score. After two scoreless10 minute overtimes the game went into a penalty shootout. Chad Love, Cameron McKay, Steven Meagher and Jeff Dortmans drilled shots past the Chinguacousy, goalie. Brian Turner saved two shots and Oakville jubilantly moved into the semifinal with a 47 3 win. Stuart MacDonald had a outstanding game. League leaders Caledon were knocked out of the Cup final s semifinals have Oakville playin Mississauga and Brampton taking on Dixie.
