Any owner of lands in respect of which notice is given who desires an inquiry into whether the taking of such land is fair, sound and reasonably necessary in the achievement of the objectives of the expropriating authority shall so notify the approving authority in writing, (a) in the case of a registered owner, served personally or by registered mail within thirty days after he is served with the notice, or, when he is served by publication, within thirty days after the first publication of the notice; (b) in the case of an owner who is not a registered owner, within thirty days after the first publication of the notice. Sept. 17th to help raise funds for the Oakville Family Y‘s $7.5â€"million expansion program. Entry fees for the run are $15 per person ($12 for ORA members) or $20 on the day of the race. Fees for the Family Walk are $5 per person. The Oakville Family °Y‘ began in 1956 and has expanded its facilities and programs since. The current facilâ€" ity was constructed 27 years ago but it‘s inadquate in a number of areas and so a new 45,000 sq. ft. facility will be built and connected to the existing 12,000 sq. ft. structure. The new facility will boast a modâ€" ern aquatic centre, an emergency youth shelter, gymnasium, fitness cenâ€" tre, multiâ€"purpose rooms, cafeteria and a libraryâ€"lounge. All gif ts are deductible for income tax purposes. On Saturday, Sept. 24th, Downtown Oakville presents the 7th Annual Good Old Days, and it‘s a tribute to the 50‘s! Downtown Oakville is presently looking for local talent interested in participatâ€" ing in this tribute to the 50‘s. Musicians, dancers, impersonators, or any entertainment representative of the 50‘s are welcome to particiâ€" pate. Escape the city lights for an evening to search for Saturn in the skies above Mountsberg Conservation Area. Philip Mozel from the McLaughlin Planetarium will guide visitors through the galaxies as well as help explain some of their myths and splendor. Informative presentations, activities and some handsâ€"on telescope work will be included in this event.
