The Region to pay Pomeroy‘s legal expenses : Parents and guardians of Grade 7 students are invited to information sessions about the program on the following dates: Monday, Sept. 12th, Queen Elizabeth Park School on Yolanda Drive; Tuesday, Sept. 13th, Oakville Trafalgar High School, Devon Road and Loyola Secondary School on Nottinghill Gate and Thursday, Sept. 15th, White Oaks Secondary School on Montclair Drive. _ All sessions are between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. The disease can be prevented by immunization. Grade 7 students were chosen because they are old enough to understand about the vacâ€" cine and young enough that they are unlikely to be infected. To be comâ€" pletely immunized, students must receive three injections of the Hepatitis B vaccine over a period of six months. The Grade 7 Hepatitis B Immunization program is voluntary. Hepatitis B is a serious viral disâ€" ease of the liver. It moves from one person to another through contact with infected blood and body fluids. In Canada, most new cases of Hepatitis B are through sexual conâ€" tact. The Grade 7 Hepatitis B Immunization program is a longterm strategy by the Ontario Ministry of Health to control Hepatitis B and will be administered by the Halton Regional Health Department.
