A ‘taste‘ of our town An evening of the finest in local food and entertainment, A Taste of Our Town, will be presented by the Oakville Arts Council Oct. 15th at the Oakville Centre. Preceding a performance of comâ€" munity groups, audience members will have the opportunity to sample a variety of offerings from Oakville‘s restaurants, wineries and the Trafalgar Brewing Co. with cofâ€" fee and dessert provided by local cafes following the show. Groups scheduled to appear on stage, under the direction of Christina James (also from Oakville Summer Theatre) and Rod Maxwell from Sheridan College, include Theatre â€" Sheridan, Oakville Symphony Orchestra, Oakville Drama Series, Whiteoaks Choral Society, Trillium Chorus, Oakville Entertainers, â€" Halton _ Youth Symphony and the Oakville Concert Band. Proceeds from A Taste of Our Town will benefit the Oakville Arts Council, a charitable organization supporting artists, performers and various cultural groups in town.
