She says the new line would convert the TS from 115 kilovolt (KV) to 230 kV and enable the station to handle increasing electrical loads in the area. Cancilla says the first of the meetings will be held sometime in the new year and will likely run parallel to Environmental Assessment approval which is expected by next May. Construction could then begin in August. (Continued from page 1) The detectives identified themselves as police officers and talked to the occupants of the house. The suspect was spotted by the police inside the house and seconds after they entered the building a shot was heard from the basement. The 19â€"yearâ€"old male named in the arrest warrants was found in the basement with a serious head injury from a gunshot wound. No one else was found in the basement at the time of the shooting. A firearm was locatâ€" ed nearby and seized by police. Police administered first aid and called for assistance. The wounded man was first taken to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and later transferred to the Sunnybrook Health Centre. The SIU was notified of the shooting and is continuing an investigation. Ontario Hydro says it will be doubling the capacity of its Bronte Transformer Station (TS) next year. But before it does so, Hydro wants local input to deterâ€" mine the preferred route for the new line. Part of the consultation process will be in the form of public meetings to disâ€" cuss environmental, engineering and socioâ€"economic concerns of area residents. There is no timeline for completion of the projéct, nor a cost estimate for the work. Cancilla says that residents won‘t see "anything significant" at the TS site after the project ends since all construction will take place on Hydro lands.
