The Oakville Blades ran into specialty team trouble Tuesday night, losing 6â€"4 to the Milton Merchants in Provincial Junior A hockey action. Milton never looked back after building up a 3â€"0 lead, all on firstâ€"period power play goals. Oakville, on the other hand, could only make good on one of 19 chances. And that was offset by a shorthanded marker they allowed. General manager Murray Walker said the team needs to bolster its defence and to increase its toughness up front. If it can‘t be done with the players on hand, he said the team might have to go the trade route. It marked the Blades third straight loss this season to the firstâ€"place Merchants.
