They did make a game of it with a pair of third period goals by Trevor Burns and Andrew MacDonald. Picking up assists were John Whiting, Andrew Green and Mike Capaldo. Trevor Bumns played a strong game on offense and Rob Haines had an excellent defensive game. OAKVILLE 4, FERGUS 1 (Nov. 4, away): Oakville broke open a 1â€"1 tie with three unanswered goals. The team played much better defensively than they played the night before in Elora. Thomas Yawney played his best game of the year on defense, handling the puck extremely well and passing it up to the forwards to set up the attack. Offensively, the team played a much improved game with all three lines contributing offensively. Single goals went to Christian Daniels, Ken Long, Andrew MacDonald (shorthanded) and Chris Cekota. Mike Ball picked up the lone assist. ELORA 7, OAKVILLE 1 (Nov. 5, home): Oakville opened the scoring in the first periâ€" od (Andrew McDonald from Geoff Aselstine and Christian Daniels), but it was all Elora from then on. OAKVILLE 2, ARTHUR 1 (Nov. 8, away): a real goaltenders‘ dual with both Oakville goalies making outstanding saves. Dave Caicco potted Oakville‘s first goal, assisted by John Whiting and Chris Cekota. With less than five minutes in the game, Christian Daniels tied the game, assisted by Andrew McDonald and John Whiting. OAKVILLE 3, MISSISSAUGA 2 (exhibiâ€" tion Nov. 6, away): defensively, John Whiting played a strong game and on the offense, Ken Long continued to improve his play. Both goalies â€" Jeff Turner and Brian Donnelly â€" had a tremendous game, making a number of key saves and keeping the score close. Rep Hockey OAKVILLE 3, GEORGETOWN 0 (Nov. 13, home): Brian Donnelly and Jeff Turner shared the shutâ€"out. The defense â€" in parâ€" ticular Mike Capaldo â€" did an excellent job throughout the game so that the goalâ€" tenders did not have to face too many shots. David Caicco, Mike Ball and Geoff Aselstine scored the goals. Assists went to Mike Ball, Andrew Green, Trevor Burns and Andrew McDonald. ACTON 4, OAKVILLE O (Nov. 16, away): Oakville goalie Jeff Turner played well in goal in a losing effort. Acton is a good solid club that played a strong game. Oakville played their hearts out but came up short against a tough team. (Continued from page 26) 1 on a goal by Ken Long, assisted by Chris Cekota.
