While the pollsters somehow missed their appointment at the Barn to collect the views of the Oakville Waterfront I n a recent survey of the executives Festival, we certainly agree that satisfyâ€" â€" ing our various customers is critical to our success. Unless you want to rely on luck, the only way you can hope to please your customers is to make the effort to learn about their likes and dislikes and how well you are doing in meeting these needs. In addition to the valuable informaâ€" tion that our many volunteers are conâ€" stantly collecting by word of mouth, the Festival is currently doing three separate customer surveys. We were fortunate to again have assistance from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Recreation in the preparaâ€" tion of our annual visitor survey. Some SATURDAY, DEC. 17 t I 519 SPEERS RD. The Ministry then provided the resources to analyze the information. The survey was divided into two parts, the first was about the visitor and included such things as age, size and composition of the group the person came to the Festival with, location of the person‘s home, how the person travelled to the festival etc. The second part asked a number of questions about the person‘s experience at the Festival including subjects such as â€"----â€"â€"1 1:00 P.M. In order to collect current infor: mation on these needs and to give ou sponsors an opportunity to tell us ho well we are doing in meeting they needs, we recently gave a survey fo to all our 1994 sponsors. A The original intent was that this sur vey would be a short one ! Howeve when we sat down to write the surve we quickly realized that there are maniy aspects to our current sponsor care pro gram that we would like feedback o and many ideas for new publicity eventg which we would like to test. The responses will be used to shapd our overall approach to corporate spon sorship programs and to customize thd package we offer to individual sponsors# The third survey is just getting underway.
