Once inside, thieves pried open the doors to the individual busi- nesses taking computer equip- ment, fax machines, VCRs, tele- visions and a quantity of liquor. Eight businesses in the same Speers Road building were but- glarized this week by thieves who stole more than $60,000 worth of merchandise. According to Halton Regional Police, the premises were entered sometime overnight between Wednesday and Thursday. The missing items include a ladies yellow gold ring with a 1.04 carat diamond worth $17,000; a men’s yellow gold bezel set with a 1.13 carat dia- mond worth $24,900; an 18 carat gold chain with crucifix valued at $1,900 and a Motorola cellular phone. Burglars hit Speers Road businesses According to Halton Regional Police, the Mississauga man pulled off the road at the Quality Inn in Bronte on Nov. 16th between 1:30 and 2 am.
