Chairs for Charity: The Rotary Club of tion tion Oakville North launches its Chairs for Charity On-Line Auction fundraising event May 6 -7 in Centre Court at Oakville Place. Drop by and see the stunning works of art by local artists of all ages, who have donated their skills and artistic enthusiasm by creating one-of-a-kind canvasses on wooden Muskoka chairs. Contributors come from various arts backgrounds including Susan Ambrose, an opera singer who has preformed all over the world and now lives in Oakville. Thanks also to Marilyn Belleghem, a local author, and some budding young artists contributing their talents Addison Soeder, Vincent Perri and Fielding Howard. Other friends of Rotary include Al Harris, Angi Watson, Bonita Adamson, Joyce Kellock, Janice Sy, Jessica di Poce, Leslie Clark, Linda Shrive, Luisa Pallett, Majorie Mason, Niroshini Naidoo, Rebekah Wilkinson and Tamara Wright. The on-line bidding will begin at 9 a.m. May 6 and will close Sunday May 12 at 11:59 p.m. Minimum bidding for each chair will start at $75 with bidding in $5 increments.
