This is a one of a kind festival for the entire community to enjoy a celebration of policing in Halton. It will be a fun, family oriented event which showcases the many police units and bureaus plus community partnerships and programs of the Halton Regional Police Service. There will be plenty to see and do for the kids and many demonstrations plus free admission and parking. Halton Children's Aid Foundation hosts Stardust Gala May 13 The Children's Aid Foundation of Halton is hosting its annual Stardust Gala on Saturday, May 13 in support of enhancing the lives of abused and neglected children living in the Region of Halton. Guests attending this year's gala will be greeted by a champagne reception and given the opportunity to take part in a silent auction, followed by dinner, a live auction and dancing. Some of the big ticket auction items up for grabs include: · A trip for two to Las Vegas; · A Day of Falconry in Halton Hills, donated by Hawkeye · A cruise on Lake Ontario in a 35 foot yacht (lunch included) · Dinner for eight people prepared in your home by a professional chef · An oyster bar and wine for 25 people (perfect for those summer BBQs) · A day of golf at the Hamilton Golf Club (home of this year's PGA Canadian Open, and consistently ranked one of the top five golf courses in Canada).
