The Craft and Hobby Expo, presented by the Oakville Public Library, is an opportunity to discover a new hobby or develop a new skill. Community organizations and businesses will showcase a wide range of activities and answer questions. The Craft and Hobby Expo is Wednesday, May 10 from 2:30-7:30 p.m. at the Atrium in Oakville Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Rd. Admission is free. Having a hobby is good for you. Demonstrations will take place throughout the day. The Haberdashers Bead Boutique will demonstrate at 3 p.m., learn about painting and wallpapering with Audrey MacDonald at 4 p.m., discover canoe and paddle carving with Roger Foster at 5 p.m., and at 6 p.m., catch the Oakville Scrapbook Makers Group.
