The Oakville Beaver Weekend, Saturday May 6, 2006 - 11 Comic Vision LAUGHING IT UP: Comic Vision on Wednesday night at the Oakville Conference Centre featured laughs for a great cause. The night of comedy was held to generate funds for the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB). Seen here (top) are Ann Morrison, executive director of the FFB with her 15-year-old son, Gavin, who is partially blind and inspired the fundraising event. Oakville's Anne Soper (bottom left) was one of a few comedians generating laughs on Wednesday. The Oakville resident is a co-founder of Comic Vision and came up with the idea that laughter could make a difference. One way of raising money was the sale of Comic Vision novelty flashers, which were sold by (left to right) Gavin Morrison, Mathew McMillan and Zach Morrison.
