Seifert, Plotnikov strike gold twice at swim meet OAK wins 28 medals in North York Michael Seifert of the Oakville Aquatic Club won six medals, including a pair of golds, at the recent North York Aquatic Club meet. Alex Plotnikov joined Seifert as a double gold-medalist while Nicole Carrabetta earned the club's other victory. Caroleene MacLennan also had a strong meet, earning five medals, pushing the club's total for the meet to 28. Seifert won the boys' 11-and-under 50-metre backstroke and 50m butterfly. He also added silver in the 50m freestyle and bronze medals in the 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle. While Seifert didn't win medals in the 200m butterfly and 400m individual medley, he did set new club records. Seifert has established five new club standards in his last three meets. Plotnikov earned his gold medals in the 12-13 boys' 50m breaststroke and 400m medley. He also placed fourth in the 200m medley and fifth in the 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly. Carrabetta topped her opponents in the 11-and-under girls' 50m backstroke. MacLennan wins two silvers MacLennan earned two silver medals among her five top-three finishes. She placed second in the girls' 16and-over 100m backstroke and 200m medley. The bronze medals were won in the 100m and 200m breaststroke and 400m medley. She was also fourth in the 200m backstroke and fifth in both the 100m freestyle and 200m butterfly. Lindsay Tetreault won a silver in the girls' 16-andover 400m medley and turned in third-place finishes in the 200m butterfly and 200m medley. She also had four other top-six finishes, including a fifth in the 200m backstroke. Sils Karina and Kevin Kellenberger were double medalists. Karina took silver in the 14-15 girls' 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 400m medley. Kellenberger earned a silver in the 16-and-over boys' 50m breaststroke and bronze in the 200m breaststroke. He was also fourth in the 100m breaststroke.
