As of May 30, eight of the Liberal leadership candidates have either confirmed or tentatively confirmed their attendance. Joe Volpe, Dr. Carolyn Bennett, Hedy Fry, Bob Rae and Stephane Dion have confirmed their attendance. Tentatively confirmed are Martha Hall Findlay, Maurizio Bevilacqua and Gerard Kennedy. Other candidates are expected to confirm over the coming weeks. The evening starts with a cocktail reception 6:30 p.m. (wine service included in the $125 ticket price) followed by the event at 7:30 p.m. Jose Zlatar, president of the Halton Federal Liberal Association, said guests will have hors d'oeuvres, cheeses, chocolate covered strawberries and more, wine, and a countryside venue. The format of the evening will allow ticket purchasers to speak personally with each of the leadership candidates it is not just a series of speeches. Zlatar noted normally such an event would cost $500, but the Halton Federal Liberal Association and the candidates want to make this event accessible to as many Halton residents interested in the democratic process as possible. The portion of the ticket price that exceeds the cost qualifies for the Political Tax Credit. RattleSnake Point Golf Club is located at 5407 Hwy 25, Milton. To purchase tickets, contact Jose Zlatar at 905-257-6274; Amrit Rai at 416-562-8770; Don McGowan at 905-257-1600. new guinea impatiens 10" hanging baskets spirea 8 99 each Several varieties to choose from. 8 See our flyer in today's paper or visit us online at: 99 each, or 3for $25.
