The school, which began classes July 3 and runs weekdays until the end of the month, sees more than 1,000 dancers of all ages audition from all over Canada and the United States. Paterson, who has been dancing for five years, and Lecomte, who has been dancing for six years, both dance in Allegro's competitive professional division and auditioned for the camp for the first time this year. The summer school offers two or three hour-long lessons per day, predominately ballet and some character dance.
