Missing him already, are his wife Irene (nee Galvin), his daughters Sharon (Allan), Robin, and Christina (Ron), and sons Mark (Dawn), and Michael (Jennifer). Two sons have predeceased him: Bruce, on September 19, 1980 from a motorcycle car collision at age 25, and Bryan on April 14, 1999 from cancer at age 49. He missed his late parents Cecil and Edith Gibbs, and his six brothers were dear and close to his heart: the late Art, the late Norman, the late Cecil, Ken, Bill and Glen. How he enjoyed talking to his brothers about the days of his youth. Missed by his grandchildren Christopher, Shannon, Sarah, Andrew, Colin, Daniel, Tyler, Mitchell, Cameron and Jamie. He and Irene began welcoming their great grandchildren, Joshuah and Madyson. During his life, he was foster father to 52 infants and toddlers. He loved all of them so much and it was hard for him to say goodbye even though he knew they were adopted into loving homes. He was close to his sisters in law: Doris, Dolores, the late June, Ida and Myrna. Irene's sister, June Grout, shared many a laugh with him. He felt blessed to have so many nieces and nephews. He was a loving "Unc" to all. He is also remembered by Sandra, Bob and Kelly. During his working years, he worked for Loblaws, the T.T.C., Brewers Warehousing, and in retirement, Kerr Cadillac. During the war, he served overseas with the Argyll. He was a member of the Legion Branch #135, Milton. Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905) 844-3221) on Friday, from 3 - 5 and 7 -9 pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville on Saturday August 5, 2006 at 9am.
