www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Friday August 11, 2006 - 27 Kerrs will be the toast of Kerr Village The Kerrs are coming to Kerr Village. Renowned TV chef Graham Kerr and his wife Treena, an author and producer, will be welcomed by The Kerr Village BIA in association with Liason College on Tuesday. Chair of the BIA, Richard Messer, will proclaim the husband-and-wife team honourary "Kerr Villagers" and offer them the Key to Kerr Village at 10:30 a.m. The Kerrs, who recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, have embarked on a 100,000-mile lecture tour of North America in support of their healthy lifestyle message. Graham calls this working sojourn the "Outdulgence Tour," a word he coined because of its opposite meaning to indulgence. In Kerr Village, the pair will tell the story of their longevity and lifestyle, which includes "A tale of Two Cookies." Liaison College students will bake Kerr Cookies based on Graham's recipe and hand them out to the crowd. Graham and Treena will also be available to sign autographs. Graham's latest offering is Lifestyle #9, a series of 81 hours of DVD programming providing advice on replacing harmful habits. Graham's DVD series and books will be on sale during the event and before at select local merchants, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Kerr Street Ministries. The event takes place at the revitalized Heritage Square in Kerr Village on Kerr Street. 2 LIESA KORTMANN / OAKVILLE BEAVER INAL DAYS!
