There will be a food and beverage tent featuring Upper Oakville's food purveyors, Wines Unlimited and Oakville's own Trafalgar Brewing Company, Black Oak Brewing Company and Cameron's Brewing Company. Dominion is also hosting a barbeque in front of the store. The Halton Regional Police Service will be on hand with McGruff, the "take a bite out of crime" team leader. There will be lots of entertainment for the whole family including a live band, face painting, balloon animals, storytelling and much more. During the day, the shopping centre will be raising funds to help save Oakville's historic white oak tree by selling "Save The Old Oak Tree" buttons and holding a silent auction. Some of the auction items include: a 2006/07 dance program courtesy of The Oakville Academy for the Arts, "Beer for a Year" courtesy of the Beer Store, four golf passes including carts for Nobleton Lakes Golf Course, gift cards for Dominion and New Balance, Disney Let's Draw activity books courtesy of Hasty Market and a rocking horse from Mastermind Toys. The breweries will donate $1 from every beer sold to the Woodland Oak Tree Preservation Committee in an effort to save Oakville's 250 year-old white oak tree. At 1 p.m. Naval Cadet Kevin Okihiro will participate in the 20th anniversary cake cutting ceremony.
