Devoted husband for 58 years to Marge (nee Screaton). Predeceased by son Michael. Harry is survived by loving wife Marge and children David (Linda), Jeffrey (Nuala), Donald and Jennifer (Richard). He is also survived by brother Gerald of San Jose, California and step-mother Dorothy of Toronto. He will also be missed by grandchildren Catriona, Conor, Amy, Courtney and Ridley and great-grandson Noah. Harry was born in Elmvale, Ontario and spent his formative years in Toronto. After marrying his high school sweetheart, fathering four boys and moving around North America, he finally settled in Oakville, Ontario where he remained for 32 years. Harry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed surfing, scuba-diving and swimming. He also coached swimming for several years. He was an active member of the Wexford L o d g e M a s o n i c Te m p l e w h e r e h e a t tained the level of Master in 1978. Peacefully, Saturday, September 9, 2006, at Ian Anderson House, Oakville, in her 75th year. She said, "I have no regrets. I did and saw ever ything I wanted". Her grace and humour enriched everyone who came in contact with her, especially best friend Lou Bourgeois, son Scott Lindstol (Karen), daughter Karina, brother John (Ina) of Glasgow, sister Lilian (Abdu) of London, England, grandson Erik (Jessica) granddaughter Kirsten, & much loved nieces and nephews. Her recently finished memoirs speak of her indomitable spirit - a wet 70 mile bike ride through Scotland, as a ning year old! - driving her BSA to a forestry job - two years in near isolation on a Norwegian farm - a journey from Moscow to Hong Kong with her sister. Emmigrating to Canada in 1956 with husband Anders Lindstol she worked as a model, secretary, real estate agent and store owner (showcasing her artistic talent). At Elspeth's request, there will be no funeral service. To celebrate her life, friends are invited to gather Sunday, October 1, from 2-4 in the Bronte Room of The Lighthouse, Ontario St., Oakville (Bronte).
