ATHENA Oakville enters its tenth year. Without sponsorship, this would not be possible. ATHENA Oakville recognizes that a huge part of ATHENA'S success is due to the generosity of sponsors. This ad is an ongoing series paying tribute to our sponsors and in their own words they tell us why they feel involvement with ATHENA is important. Strong leadership is and will continue to be one of the cornerstones of RBC success. The ATHENA Leadership model is a blueprint of the qualities skilled leaders require. True leaders are people who are courageous, authentic, focused and committed to the development of others, the community and of themselves. While many people have natural leadership qualities, it is the nurturing, guiding and developing of these qualities, by others, that helps them to become outstanding leaders. This, in fact, is mentoring and is a very important part of the ATHENA Leadership model. A successful mentoring program guarantees strong future leaders not only within an organization but in society. RBC is proud of our relationship with ATHENA and know that sponsorship will support the recognition of successful mentors in Oakville as well as encouraging others to assist in the development of our future leaders.
