This annual gathering attracts more than 100 retirees and has become a tradition not to be missed! Retired OTMH staff and medical staff will be gathering at the Hospital to renew acquaintances, share fond memories and learn about exciting developments at OakvilleTrafalgar Memorial Hospital and Halton Healthcare Services since last year's get-together. If you, or someone you know, retired from OTMH after working at the hospital part-time or full-time for over five years then the committee would like to hear from you! We are seeking experienced managers, RNs, Occupational therapists, Social Workers and Addiction Counsellors to join our team. Consideration will be given to recent graduates. ER and ICU Registered Nurses Open House Thursday, October 12th, 3-7 p.m. With plans to expand our combined ICU/CCU from 12 to 18 beds, we are seeking experienced ICU nurses for this growing area. We offer a warm and friendly work environment with opportunities for professional growth through our Critical Care Outreach Team. Our busy ER is seeking both experienced ER nurses and nurses with at least one year of experience working on a medical/ surgical floor in an acute care setting. Consideration will be given to new grads for the ER Observation Unit. Community Support In Action Zenia Karnas and Rachel Pusateri, both 10, sold hand painted rocks and lemonade this past summer and collected over $100 for OTMH. The girls are already starting to plan for next summer. Way to go girls! Patient Assistance Volunteers Required We are looking for sensitive, compassionate volunteers to help with the care and comfort of our patients. By volunteering for one morning a week, you can make a difference in our patients' lives by assisting with meals, supplies, companionship, and a variety of additional comfort measures. Our volunteers are an integral part of our nursing unit operations, assisting patients, families and staff with daily activities. Volunteers are also required for our Patient Transport team to assist in the transport of patients, x-rays and specimens throughout the hospital. Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Whether you have a healthcare background or simply an interest in the healthcare field, we offer a number of excellent opportunities for front-line experience - you'll love working with our patients!
