34 - The Oakville Beaver Weekend, Saturday September 30, 2006 Stealth edge Dundas to capture East York tournament title Will Gilbertson's header off Justen Pinto's free kick resulted in the only goal as the Oakville Hydro One/Aztec Electrical Supply boys under-15 Stealth held off Dundas for a 1-0 win in the final of the East York Fall Fest Select Tournament. Daniel Rivero made some spectacular saves, particularly in the final 10 minutes as Dundas pressed for the equalizer, to earn the shutout for Oakville. Oakville scored the only two goals allowed by Dundas in five tournament games. Oakville was undefeated in the tournament, winning three and tying one. The Stealth opened the tournament with a 3-0 victory over Orillia. Gilbertson gave Oakville a 1-0 lead against Pickering with a hard shot from 30 yards out that found the top corner. However, Pickering scored early in the second half as the teams played to a 1-1 draw. In a preview of the final, Oakville battled Dundas in its final round-robin game. Both teams had plenty of scoring chances but the game remained scoreless until Gabriel Awan cashed in on a penalty shot late in the second half. That held up as the winner in a 1-0 victory. The win advanced Oakville to the semifinals where they met Pickering again. This time the Stealth had no trouble recording a 3-0 win. Awan opened the scoring at the 10-minute mark and Francesco Franze headed in Reggie Jubran's cross early in the second half to make it 2-0. Franze added his second of the game shortly after on a penalty kick while Rivero held Pickering at bay to record his third of four shutouts.
