She followed with a 29.33s best in the 200m, more than 3 seconds faster than her previous time. In addition, Morrison debuted in long jump, and recorded a leap of 3.67 metres. However, 12-year-old Laura Jordan was not to be overshadowed by Morrison's success, recording personal bests in the 100m and 200m as well. Jordan ran the 100m sprint in 13.82s (surpassing her previous time of 14.4s), shaved 1.5s from her previous best in the 200m, and cleared the high jump bar at 1.43m. In the longer events, Vicky Sheridan, 12, and Zoe Aster, 13, set new personal records in the 800m and 1,500m events, with 2:28.59/5:18.19 and 2:26.88/5:17.2 times, respectively. In other club news, 39-year-old Michelle Baptie Sanchez recorded throws of 6.67m in shot put and 17.59m in discus to win her age group at a recent Masters competition in Stouffville. Anne Marie Neilson, 44, a late entry into javelin, won gold with a distance of 31.17m.
