MUNICIPAL ELECTION EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES The Town of Oakville is continuing to seek election workers available to work on the Municipal Election from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Voting Day, Monday, November 13, 2006. Election workers and reserve workers are still required. If appointed as a reserve and not required to work on Voting Day you will receive an honorarium. However, all reserves must be available to be placed at a voting location if required, and if placed, will be paid at the rate of the position worked. To be eligible to work in the 2006 Oakville Municipal Election you must complete an application form, take a brief written exam and attend an interview. Application forms, exam handbooks and a description of the Assistant Deputy Returning Officer duties are available on the Town's website at http://www.oakville.ca/employelections.htm or from the Clerk's Department, 2nd floor, Town Hall 1225 Trafalgar Road. To assist the Town with the 2006 Municipal Election please call 905.845.6601 ext. 3918 for an appointment. A Candidate's spouse or the child of a candidate is not eligible to submit an application.
