A 1- Knife-wielding robber foiled Halton police are investigating after an attempted holdup of a Petro-Canada gas station on Halloween night. Police are following up reports that a man with a knife attempted to rob the gas station located at 1123 Dorval Dr. shortly before 10 p.m. The man who was brandishing a knife, ordered an employee of the station to hand over cash around 9:50 p.m. The gas station employee refused and called police. The would-be robber fled the store, running north on Dorval Drive. Police responded to the call and set off in search of the suspect to no avail. The suspect is described as a white man approximately 16 years old, five-feet six-inches tall with a pudgy build. At the time of the attempted robbery, he was wearing a beige hooded winter jacket, a beige coloured baseball cap and dark baggie blue jeans.
