This year's theme is Favourite Christmas Stories. With all the colourful and uniquely decorated float entries moving down the streets of downtown Oakville and this year's band lineup; with the return of Halton Police Pipe Band, playing a range of Christmas carols, people of all ages will surely be getting into the Christmas spirit. Starting at 9 a.m., the parade will follow a new route. This year's parade will begin at Lakeshore Road and Reynolds, go west on Lakeshore to Kerr Street, north on Kerr and end at Kerr and Stewart streets. Santa Claus is bringing someone special to this year's Parade; someone best known for keep- ing him on his toes throughout the year. Coming to us all the way from the North Pole is his lovely wife, Mrs. Claus herself, to act as the parade's Grand Marshall. She is looking forward to being in Oakville and seeing the boys and girls and their families. Make sure to bring a new unwrapped toy and a non-perishable food item to tomorrow's parade. The Kinsmen Club of Oakville will be collect- ing non-perishable food items for the Oakville Food Bank and the Oakville Fire Fighters will be on hand accepting new, unwrapped toys. The Fun Group of Family and Friends of Falagarwood return again to sell their "red noses." All proceeds will go to MADD Canada (Oakville Branch). Children won't want to forget their letter to Santa.
