SPORTSBRIEFS The honour was the third straight All-MAC selection for the Kent State Golden Flashes junior striker, who returned from ACL surgery to play in 13 games this past year. Dimitroff totaled 15 points in those 13 games, including five goals, and tied for the team lead with five assists. She already ranks second in Kent State school history in goals (25) and points (61). She led MAC in assists per game in 2006, also ranking fourth in shots per game, fourth in points per game, and fifth in game-winning goals. Abbey Park grad Smith picked as OUA all-star After a solid freshman season in Ontario University Athletics men's soccer competition, Matthew Smith was named to the OUA's second all-star squad. Smith, a recent graduate of Abbey Park High School, was a starting right back with the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks. Though the bio-chemistry student scored one goal in regularseason play, he made a major impact in his own end, breaking up opposition attacks and starting his team's own attacks.
