Darragh, swimming in his final meet as a 12-year-old, set new club standards in the 11-12 boys' 100-metre, 400m and 800m freestyle, 100m and 200m back, 50m breast, 50m, 100m and 200m fly, and 200m and 400m individual medley. He finished the meet with 12 medals, seven of them gold, and won a high points award. Oldershaw, competing in the 11-12 girls' division, broke OAK records in the 50m, 100m and 200m back as well as the 200m and 400m individual medley. Mack Darragh She was also part of four relay teams that set new records, and earned five medals (two gold). Zack Chetrat added club-record showings in the 15-16 boys' 800m free, 100m and 200m back, and 100m fly, winning seven medals. Jennifer Wilson also set a new OAK record, breaking the previous standard in the 17-and-older girls' 1,500m free. Other swimmers to win individual medals at the event included Mika Spencer, Clara Armstrong, Holly Olsen and Tera Van Beilan. In relay action, Bridget Jordan, Sydney Clarke, Erin Assman, Olsen, Van Beilan, Spencer, Armstrong and Oldershaw were part of record-breaking girls' teams. On the boys' side, Cameron McLellan, Nick Majtenyi, Luke Kikot and Jamie Loh joined Chetrat to help win two silvers in 15-17year-old competition. The four-day Youth Cup required provincial qualifying times and attracted the top swimmers and clubs from across Ontario, the Maritimes and British Columbia. "Placing second out of 48 clubs is a great way to finish out the meet and sets us up for the competitive season ahead," said OAK head coach Christy Yaremczuk.
