Production of the European version of the sport X-over SX4 in Eastern Europe also was also announced. The all-new SX4 features a versatile, rigid five-door design, an available allwheel-drive system, and for the Canadian market, a sophisticated fuel-sipping 2.0liter DOHC engine. "The all-new 2007 Suzuki SX4 is designed to provide consumers in Canada a fun-to-drive vehicle that is also practical and economical." The new Suzuki SX4 offers an available, sophisticated all-wheel-drive system that sends power to the rear wheels as needed with no additional input necessary from the driver. Called the Three-Mode Switchable AWD system, it features a selector switch on the center console that allows the driver to select from three modes: 2WD, AUTO (AWD High) and LOCK (AWD Lock). Customers in Canada will have a choice of a five-speed manual transmission or an available four-speed automatic transmission. Also standard is a 260-watt Pioneer sound system with subwoofer, including a front-mounted auxiliary input jack so that an iPod or similar device can be played through the audio system. "The HHR has been among the hottest selling vehicles in the industry since its introduction last year," said Cheryl Catton, general director of Chevrolet car marketing. "The HHR Premiere and the previously announced HHR Panel will help us maintain that momentum in 2007." Since its launch, HHR has received five-star crash ratings ñ the highest rating awarded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) New Car Assessment Program. The five-star ratings were awarded for the driver and right-front passenger in a frontal crash, as well as five-star side-impact crash ratings for front seat and rear seat passengers.
