Bob Harris, Glen Eden general manager, checks on the new snow as Glen Eden prepares to open its Galaxy Learning Centre (starter slopes or "bunny hill") and the Boomerang Run this weekend. Saturday and Sunday Glen Eden will be open for skiing and snowboarding from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Also open this weekend at Glen Eden will be Galaxy's Little Dipper and Milky Way runs and shuttle carpet lift, along with the sidewinder chair lift. The Main Chalet will open its doors as well as the Adventure Centre for rentals and tuning and the Snowflake Cafe. Discover Ski and Snowboard packages at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for $39.95, which includes equipment rentals, a 90-minute lesson with a certified snow school instructor and Galaxy Centre lift ticket.
