SPORTSBRIEFS Oakville did not allow a goal in its three round-robin contests while scoring 22 of its own, then defeated North London 6-2 in the semifinal and Erindale 8-1 in the championship game. Blake Stewart scored five goals in the final, Patrick O'Brien added two goals and an assist, and Kevin Samardzic recorded a goal and two assists. Alex Sweett and Morgan McCready each contributed three helpers, with Nick Greco, Blair Chesnick and Julian Davies also earning assists. In the semifinal, O'Brien netted a hat trick, with singles going to Stewart and Greco. Ryan Bell posted three shutouts in the tournament, aided by the Eagles' defensive unit that only allowed eight shots in the team's first three games. Athletiques members to represent district Five members of the Athletiques International track and field club have been selected to represent District B in this year's Royal Canadian Legion Indoor Championships. Holy Trinity student Connor Moss will compete in the 15-and-under boys' 50-metre dash, while Zoe Aster and Rebecca Sheridan will race in the 15-and-under girls' 800m. Third NCAA shutout for goaltender Kessler Harvard University freshman goaltender Christina Kessler continues to turn heads, making 30 saves against 10th-ranked Princeton recently to earn her third shutout in her first six starts.
